Perhaps i did not say this yet , but thank you for visiting and your imput about the blog/website .

I whas very curious if people would find this webpage/blog usefull at all . The message’s and idea’s on how to improve some things you send me tell me it is and for that i am very thankfull for that . I did not expect that so many people would visit it , but now i see people from all over the world visiting and sending me message’s . If you visit the blog/website , it means we have something in common . I also did not expect that the blog would be found so fast but seems like a few persons shared it and that got things rollin .I am gratefull for that and i am still working hard to add the basics online , i hope to get them all done in the coming weeks ( if the current situation allows me offcourse ) .

For people who also have a blog or website on Heathen topics , it doesn’t have to be norse , any branch of heathenism is fine by me , give me a message and i will add your link . And if you create anything heathen related and sell it somewhere over the www, i will happely add a link to your store to for free .I do not promise you tons of traffic in the beginning but all bits can help and after all its free , so nothing to lose . After the last weeks beeing hell in work and personal life i managed to finish up some work .

I finisht up the following chapters in the Poetic Edda .

Only a few remaining to be done with the Poetic Edda . I hope they are handy for you seeking the texts . I added the links in the text themselfs so you dont have to look true hundreds of pages to find what you need . I also experimented with tagclouds , since i found that the normal pages do not get found by search engine’s , only the blog posts do ( told you i am a noob on webpage creation lol ) . Prose Edda finisht !!

Today i added the last missing pages of the prose edda ( i think and hope ) .

I tried to make a page for all the smaller saga’s that get reffered to also .

If everything works like i planned , you should now be able to find these sacred writings in the Prose edda section in the drop down menu or the page of the Prose edda .

You will still find some words in the texts that are cursief and bold , those are for me to remind me that i need to look for more info on them . But most are hard to find but i wont give up lol.

If by any chance any of you could provide me with a complete and correct translation of the Hattatal you would have my deepest respect and gratitude .

Also made a page for the goddess Eir . Eir is the goddess of protection, clemency , help and mercy .This page is the first of many about the gods and godesses and give’s some basic info , example prayers and info on how to do blot for Eir .

People are searching to coop with this corona virus and perhaps some people can find some comfort .

Is the whole world becoming nuts or what ?

In the last days all we hear and talk about is the corona virus , its normal that people worry because it is a nasty bitch virus .

But what i find disturbing is the fact the humanity can be seen on its best and worst side .

People are hoarding and plundering the store’s , alot of times the weaker get forgotten , like the elder and sick . The healthy would even push the elder and weak out of there way !!! People who are doing there part to fight this crisis and help others find nothing in store’s when they finally get some rest just because the hoarders and cowards looted everything .Where is the justice in that ? How can people alow that ?

If you follow and liv by the nine noble values NNV , you see them trampled everywhere .

There seems to be no honor left with some people ! Courage is gone with alot of people to , people are hidding away , again forgetting about the weaker ones . Industriousness and discipline are gone also .

I have bin a soldier for a large part of my life , and learnd alot about survival . But now its seems that all that ive learned whas a lie lol , you dont need shelter , water and food to survive , plain toiletpaper is the way to go !!!!!

If this worldwide crisis proves anything is that when there would be a war someday , it will be eatch for there own !! No courage left , no honor in most people anymore . Discipline is something people vaguely remember .

I hope the gods and ancestors are watching us all and see what we as a humanity have become .

King Olaf Trygvason’s Saga

Finisht part 6 of the Heimskringla . Chapter 6 – King Olaf Trygvason’s Saga.

In this chapter you can see alot of how , why and when people converted to cristianity from Heathenism. This chapter consist out of 123 parts .

Heimskringla

Today i started with working on the pages of the Heimskringla . Will add all the chapters in the coming week .

Heimskringla (Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈheimsˌkʰriŋla]) is the best known of the Old Norse kings’ sagas. It was written in Old Norse in Iceland by the poet and historian Snorri Sturluson (1178/79–1241) c. 1230. The name Heimskringla was first used in the 17th century, derived from the first two words of one of the manuscripts (kringla heimsins, “the circle of the world”).

Heimskringla is a collection of sagas about Swedish and Norwegian kings, beginning with the saga of the legendary Swedish dynasty of the Ynglings, followed by accounts of historical Norwegian rulers from Harald Fairhair of the 9th century up to the death of the pretender Eystein Meyla in 1177. The exact sources of his work are disputed, but included earlier kings’ sagas, such as Morkinskinna, Fagrskinna and the twelfth century Norwegian synoptic histories and oral traditions, notably many skaldic poems. Snorri had himself visited Norway and Sweden. For events of the mid-12th century, Snorri explicitly names the now-lost work Hryggjarstykki as his source. The composition of the sagas is Snorri’s.

Work on the The Volsunga Saga is finished .

Every part of The Volsunga Saga is now added to the menu .

The Völsunga saga (often referred to in English as the Volsunga Saga or Saga of the Völsungs) is a legendary saga, a late 13th century poetic rendition in the Icelandic language of the origin and decline of the Völsung clan (including the story of Sigurd and Brynhild and destruction of the Burgundians).

The saga covers themes including the power struggles among Sigurd’s ancestors; Sigurd’s killing of the dragon Fafnir; and the influence of the cursed ring Andvaranaut.

Richard Wagner used the Volsunga sagas as an inspiration in Der Ring des Nibelungen .

But the most known part of this play must be this ; Ride of the Valkyries .

This has bin used by almost every media possible , movie’s , serie’s and so on …….And most people dont know this is based on a Heathen saga . The most legendary use of this song is in the movie Apocalypse now .

The Ride Of The Valkyries” is the popular term for the prelude to Act III of Die Walküre, the second of the four operas by German composer Richard Wagner that comprise The Ring of the Nibelungs (German Der Ring des Nibelungen). The Ring of the Nibelungs is a sequence of four musical dramas based on the Norse saga, which concerns the turbulent family history of a race of gods and their pursuit of a magical golden ring. It began as a single opera focusing on the death of Siegfried but grew into a vast cycle of four operas comprising Das Rheingold (The Rhine Gold), Die Walküre (The Valkyrie), Siegfried and Die Gotterdammerung (The Twilight of the Gods).

Added Volsunga Saga

In the last 3 days i whas working and adding the volsunga saga , all pages are placed in order and added previous and next page buttons . Needs a few more extra’s . Removed the drop down pages from the saga since there are to many chapters and would create to mutch clutter in the drop down menu . If you see any errors i would be thankfull if you point them out .

Today again not really any new blog posts , still working on adding the Poetic Edda for later references in blog posts . The blog got a bit sooner shared /exposed then i expected lol . But the pages of the Poetic and Proze Edda’s will proof there use later on when i am ready with creating all the pages . Tweaking and adjusting .

Today i did not add extra pages of the edda’s , reason is because i have bin tweaking the page in the background . The page should now be better to use on mobil phones to . Added drop menu’s instead of the links on the left . This should make it look less chaotic on the front . And some other misc different adjustments to make everything look and work better . Sorry for the shifting around of items but like i said , learning as i go . Hope you like the cleaned up look and it feels better . Nine noble virtues

Today i added a page on the nine noble virtue’s , i know this is a modern ( composed in 1974 and 1986) part of Heathenry but alot of Asatru community’s seem to follow or use them as a sort of guide . Because they are made with help from parts of the old writing and lore it has some ancient wisdom or councel in them to ( from the Hávamál and the Sigrdrífumál amongst others ). I find the NNV also handy to keep control of everything . Like example when trying to make a heavy or hard decision , i find myself checking the NNV . If i do this would it be honorable ? or would it be truthfull if i do this ? What do you think of the nnv and how do you look upon them ?
